President

Manoj Malhotra

Mr. Malhotra joined the Pyramid Team following the acquisition of PHS by the Avantha Group in May 2010.  In his current role, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership for PHS by working with the Corporate Governance, the PHS Board of Directors, other Avantha/Salient verticals and the Executive Management team to establish and achieve long-range goals and strategies. Manoj brings with him over a dozen years of relevant multinational consulting experience in Corporate Finance, Strategy Building and Investment Banking. He also helped set up private equity syndication services and equity research businesses at a leading Northern Indian NBFC and for the merchant banking arm of one of the largest Indian industrial houses. Manoj is a chartered accountant and a cost accountant by qualification. He is a history buff, loves spending time amidst old forts and castles, and has a keen interest in art.

 


 

Chief Operating Officer

Jay Hutchinson

Mr. Hutchinson has served in a Senior Leadership role with Pyramid Healthcare Solutions since 1997 and currently represents Pyramid as Chief Operating Officer, Revenue Cycle Services.  In this capacity, Jay oversees all PHS revenue cycle, HIM, and offshore operations/initiatives.  He remains an astute, results-oriented leader with proven success in managing multi-million dollar healthcare receivables over the past 22 years.  Jay empowers and motivates members of his team to generate results that consistently exceed our clients’ goals and cash collection expectations.  He is an expert in fiscal and operational efficiencies with an emphasis on maximizing cash flow and credit liability reduction.  As an insightful leader, Jay applies extensive industry and regulatory knowledge, process improvement, employee development, and strategic planning to achieve rapid revenue and profit growth opportunities for our clients. He remains committed to his team and promotes directives that reflect and ensure achievement of PHS’s Mission, Vision and Values.

 


 

Director of Finance

Kevin M. Stalbird

Mr. Stalbird has more than 12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience exclusively within the healthcare industry. Mr. Stalbird spent the first six years of his healthcare finance career with the largest regional healthcare network in Tampa Bay, Florida consisting of ten hospitals and over two million covered lives. Since joining Pyramid six years ago, Mr. Stalbird has grown with the company. In 2009, he was promoted to Director of Finance. As Director of Finance of Pyramid, Mr. Stalbird is responsible for leading, planning, directing and coordinating all finance/accounting operational functions to adhere to GAAP regulations, state and governmental regulations and company policies. He is responsible to implement and monitor procedures as well as recommend procedural modification that will enhance overall company efficiencies and internal control systems. Mr. Stalbird works closely with Executive Leadership and also is a member of Pyramid’s Senior Leadership Committee.

 


 

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Mike Ronning

Mr. Ronning has over 25 years of experience in health care administration, accounts receivable management, managed care contracting, and revenue cycle outsourcing.  He possesses expertise in all aspects of revenue cycle management including patient access, hospital business services, and CBO operations.  He has restructured revenue cycle departments, turned around unprofitable operations, and trained and mentored staff and management.  Mike joined Pyramid as Vice President, Revenue Cycle Services and then moved to his current position as Vice President, Sales and Marketing.  Mike is responsible for Pyramid’s business development activities and works closely with other members of the Pyramid team to insure that outstanding value and service is provided to its customers. Mike earned his Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from St. Louis University in Missouri.  He is an active member of the HFMA and speaks periodically at local and regional HFMA and AAHAM meetings.

 


 

Assistant Vice President, ARM Operations

Melinda Scaffe

Ms. Scaffe has over 25 years of progressive experience in hospital and physician accounts receivable management, 11 of which have been with Pyramid Healthcare Solutions.  She has worked on both the provider and vendor-partner sides.  Ms. Scaffe has assisted over 100 facilities in the areas of process improvement, policy and procedure documentation, quality improvement, cash infusion, AR reduction, system conversions, and revenue cycle management. Her background includes compliance, system support, data management, quality assurance and staff education. As AVP of operations of our Accounts Receivable Management division, Melinda maintains strong client relationships, provides leadership to the ARM team, lends support to business development, and collaborates with senior leadership team to develop and implement long term goals, policies, and strategies to ensure successful operations.

 


 

Assistant Vice President, Coding and Auditing

David Graham

Mr. Graham has over 29 years of healthcare consulting experience, specializing in HIM revenue cycle services.  He has assisted over 475 client facilities in the areas of coding, auditing, documentation improvement, regulatory compliance, CMS RAC management, and HIM operational assessments.  Dave contributes a strong background to the Pyramid leadership team in code driven reimbursements, with a tenacious focus on quality and compliance.  He leads and operationalizes new HIM revenue cycle business development opportunities, working with the senior leadership team to develop long term goals, policies, and strategies to ensure successful operations, resulting in strong client relationships and partnerships.  He is responsible for the growth and development of both the domestic and offshore service lines.
